Magazine Editorial
Project - based visuals for magazines, journals & special issues
There are moments in publishing when a story asks for something more than the expected rhythm of a template — when an editor senses a need for atmosphere, subtlety, or a visual language that can hold memory with a little more grace. These are the spaces where commissioned artwork becomes not an embellishment, but an anchor..

Poetry of Kamil Baczyñski
Poetry by Kamil Baczyński
Illustrations and book design: OfToil&co
This illustration series was developed in parallel with a curated selection of thirteen poems by Kamil Krzysztof Baczyński. The process unfolded in reverse: images were generated first as atmospheric studies, then matched, tested, and rematched against the poetry until a shared emotional register emerged.
Rather than illustrating individual poems, the visuals respond to recurring states present across Baczyński’s work — inevitability, tenderness under pressure, enchantment with an undertow, loss, and duration after rupture. Nature appears not as scenery, but as a temporal force; figures exist in suspension between intimacy and erasure.
The final selection forms a compact poetic arc, moving from generational awareness through love as resistance, toward open landscapes of aftermath. The images function as visual counterparts rather than narrative depictions, allowing the poetry to remain primary.
The project is conceived as a limited-edition book and a standalone set of illustration assets. It is presented here as a complete design concept and as a portfolio of possibilities for future publication or commissioned work.

Eau Imaginaire
Eau Imaginaire is a visual exploration of fragrance before it becomes a product.
The project unfolds as a series of bottle studies, atmospheric scenes, and symbolic forms — each iteration testing how scent might be communicated without language. Glass behaves like memory, light pools where notes would linger, and landscapes appear suspended, as if held inside the perfume itself.

Alice in Wonderland
Comprehensive design of both exterior and interior of the book. The cover includes front, spine, and back as defined above. The interior design involves typesetting, page composition, grid construction, font selection, and the hierarchy of textual and visual elements. Layouts are adapted to the demands of different manuscripts, including novels, collected works, poetry volumes, illustrated texts, or academic publications.

Architectural Reveries
This limited edition series unfolds at the threshold between the built world and its afterimage. Originating from photographs of real urban structures, the images have been gently expanded into a quieter, more speculative territory—where architecture sheds its certainty and becomes atmosphere. Familiar forms stretch, repeat, and dissolve into pale fields of light, as if memory itself were doing the reconstruction.

Motor City of the Yore
Detroit is a city defined less by a single origin than by successive retoolings. Founded in 1701 as a French trading post at a narrow crossing of the river that would lend the city its name (détroit, the strait), it began as an outpost of exchange—fur, timber, passage—situated between inland territories and the Great Lakes. From the outset, Detroit functioned as a hinge rather than a destination: a place through which materials, labor, and ambition moved.

Drawing Quantum
Drawing Quantum is an attempt to sketch the unseen scaffolding of reality — not by calculation, but by intuition. Each line traces an imagined trajectory of subatomic motion, the quiet drift and collision of matter as it organizes itself into pattern. Some works are hand-drawn, others born from machine interpretation, all moving along the same invisible laws.
What emerges is less an illustration of physics and more a resonance with it: the body following the tremor of particles it’s made of, the eye repeating the harmonies the universe already knows.

Sapio Century
Detroit Reimagined — Sapio Century 3013
AI reconstructs the architectural DNA of Detroit, transforming its skyline into a sentient organism of mirrored forms and flowing geometries. A meditation on memory, decay, and the self-evolving intelligence of cities to come.

Ancient Evenings
Illustrations inspired by Norman Mailer’s novel Ancient Evenings and its adaptation in Matthew Barney’s film River of Fundament.
The modern architecture of the City of Detroit is homogeneously integrated with architectural elements and motifs from ancient civilizations, creating a unique fusion of past and present.

Sapio Century - Symbiosis
In this chapter of Sapio Century 3013, the boundaries between the natural and the constructed dissolve into one seamless continuum. The cities of tomorrow no longer rise against nature but grow with it—alive, adaptive, and luminous in their equilibrium.
Here, glass and chlorophyll share the same code. The skyline breathes. Metal veins pulse with organic intelligence. Architecture is no longer an assertion of dominance, but a biological extension of the planet’s own will—a mirror to the evolving mind of Earth itself.

Fragmentum: The Lament of the Deep
Each image is a relic, glowing as though dredged from the ocean floor, half-buried in silt, half-alive with breath. They are not depictions but hauntings: architectures eroded into ghost forms, echoes of a drowned civilization whose silence still reverberates.
Created in dialogue with machine vision, these works emerge from a threshold space — where algorithm becomes oracle, and the artist becomes cartographer of its hallucinations. Firefly’s spectral textures are not left to chance; they are cut, guided, reformed into a coherent lament.

Fairytales
Cover illustration inspired by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s Le Petit Prince (1943), Chapter XXI. The Little Prince sits with the Fox in a golden wheat field at sunset, the moment the Fox whispers his secret: ‘On ne voit bien qu’avec le cœur. L’essentiel est invisible pour les yeux.’ Atmosphere of tenderness and luminous stillness, the invisible bond between them glowing softly, blending reality and dream.

The Forest Tale
The forest story about Druids of Yore. In a forest draped in winter’s hush, ancient figures and fleeting spirits converge. Hooded Druids carry torchlight through snow-laden trees, witches and wizards stir the air above the branches, virgins walk beneath hovering doves, twin boys chase white rabbits, and an eagle watches over them all. At the gathering’s heart stands an old man with white wings—silent, knowing. Without words they meet; without trace they depart. The forest, itself a character, holds their secret beneath its pillowy clouds of snow.
The Desert
The Desert project, a part of the Sapio Century series, delves into mapping the future urban landscapes of 3013 using Ai generative tools within the Adobe Creative Suite. By analyzing existing structures, it anticipates the evolution of architecture and its resilience against decay in the coming centuries.
Unlike many historical landmarks such as the Egyptian pyramids, Roman aqueducts, Medieval Gothic cathedrals, or Sumerian ziggurats, the Desert architecture showcases a durability stemming from its arid climate. This resilience, coupled with the advancements of the industrial age, promises a lasting legacy for human-designed structures.

The Little Red Story
Set in a silent forest veiled by winter, The Little Red Story unfolds as a vision rather than a tale. Barefoot figures wander through the snow — a family, perhaps, or the remnants of an ancient rite — bound together by the color red: the glint of an apple, the bloom of a mushroom, the bead of a berry against the white. No one speaks; the air itself hums with remembrance.
Between the trees, gestures replace words — the offering of fruit, the tracing of light, the passing of a green branch from hand to hand. Each figure seems to await something unseen: the return of warmth, or a promise that the forest itself once made to humankind. Beneath the surface calm, the meadow keeps its secret pulse — half myth, half memory — where even silence feels like an old language trying to begin again.
