Architectural Reveries
This limited edition series unfolds at the threshold between the built world and its afterimage. Originating from photographs of real urban structures, the images have been gently expanded into a quieter, more speculative territory—where architecture sheds its certainty and becomes atmosphere. Familiar forms stretch, repeat, and dissolve into pale fields of light, as if memory itself were doing the reconstruction.
The city here is not depicted as a place of movement or noise, but as a presence held in suspension. Facades rise like veils rather than walls; windows become rhythms instead of apertures. Verticality dominates—towers elongate, streets narrow into corridors of air, and perspective folds inward. The palette is restrained, almost ascetic: whites, softened creams, muted stone, traces of gold and dust. This reduction of color sharpens attention toward texture, proportion, and silence.
There is an intentional ambiguity at work. These images do not document a specific location, nor do they fully abandon it. They feel architectural yet uninhabited, monumental yet fragile—cities imagined after departure, or before arrival. Light behaves unnaturally evenly, erasing shadows and time of day, suggesting a perpetual moment rather than a captured one. What remains is not realism, but essence: the idea of the city distilled into form.
The series carries a contemplative quality, inviting slow looking. Repetition and symmetry evoke modernist discipline, while distortions and softness introduce a poetic instability. It is a visual language that sits comfortably between photography, illustration, and dream—precise enough to feel designed, open enough to remain interpretive.
As a limited edition set, these works are intended as versatile creative assets. They have been used as postcards, but extend naturally into other contexts: illustrations for poetry or prose, posters, album or book covers, editorial spreads, web imagery, exhibition graphics, or conceptual advertising. Their neutrality allows them to support narrative without overwhelming it, while their distinct atmosphere lends quiet authority to any visual composition.
