Editorial Description
Of Toil& co is an independent publication and studio operating at the intersection of visual culture, design, and material practice.
The publication takes the form of meticulously composed Issues — not as periodicals in the conventional sense, but as archives of artifacts. Each Issue gathers visual work, objects, and fragments into a considered whole, preserving fleeting creative acts as enduring records.
In parallel, ofToil &co Studio produces commissioned work and limited editions, applying the same editorial discipline to graphic design, visual identity, print matter, and collectible objects. The publication and the studio inform one another: editorial thinking shapes design practice, and design practice sharpens the editorial eye.
Together, they function as a single ecosystem — slow, deliberate, and materially aware.
Studio Biography
ofToil is founded and directed by Agaave Yaxa, a visual artist and designer working internationally.
The practice is rooted in print culture, typography, photography, and archival sensibility, with a long-standing interest in books, paper, and designed objects as vessels of memory. Rather than pursuing trend-driven output, the studio focuses on clarity, restraint, and longevity — producing work meant to be lived with, collected, and returned to over time.
ofToil operates independently and selectively, collaborating with cultural institutions, publishers, and private clients whose values align with careful making and thoughtful pacing.

Envelope / Wordmark
ofToil & Co. wordmark on archival paper.
An emblem applied as print, not branding—meant to age, crease, and travel. The studio mark appears here as a physical impression rather than a graphic assertion.
Stamp / ofToil.art
Custom stamp design featuring original photography and typographic patterning.
Part of an ongoing editorial system where images are treated as collectible artifacts—issued, indexed, and framed like postal matter rather than marketing collateral.
Issue One / Book Object
Of toil. Issue One — book object and editorial artifact.
A publication conceived as a tactile archive: restrained typography, material focus, and deliberate pacing. Designed to be handled slowly, read non-linearly, and kept.
